There are two sides to every story. And that wasn't the picture that was painted when I was talking to Labree Motorsports. I have done
business with both SpecialtyZ (clutch/fw/dp) and Labree and the service and products were GREAT! Sounds like you're knocking a fellow Z owner that probably welded the exhaust on your car.
A. The guys making the exhaust at LaBree left and opened their own shop and is now making the exhausts for SpecialtyZ.
I thought Brent Labree owned and still owns Labree motorsports. Are you saying he
wasn't the one who used to make the exhaust? Personal changes in place, I don't think its like you're making it out to be.
B. Greg Dupree designed the exhaust, which means the exhaust LaBree is selling a knockoff.
Quote from their website:
"Many have coppied our systems and designs, all of these concepts were designed by LaBree Motorsports, who has over 40 years of experience building exhaust systems. Designs and procedures have been copied by former
employees and distributors."
C. My understanding is the mufflers are exclusive to SpecialtyZ.
Brent told me on the phone that he designed the side inlet Sebring tunning mufflers and they are only
available from Sebring tunning in quantities greater than 100 units
